Without other ceremony than a mighty chorus of barking, without even a band, the fifteenth annual bench show of the Westminster Kennel Club opened yesterday in Madison Square Garden. The experiment of a band was tried last year and it was such a failure that it was then and there resolved never to attempt to combine Wagner music or any other kind of music with a dog show.
